For those who participated in our NYE party, thank you for helping make it a success. We had a great time with everyone on and off the stage. We absolutely loved this room with it's wide open spaces and balcony couch seating. The benefit of having no particular time we had to call it quits created no pressure, no reason to rush, we were able to just be ourselves and relax with all of you before, during and after the show and some great music was created taboot!. Good thing about that too, because during the whole night not only was the audio being recorded to tape, but video also. There were HD cameras on the walls, on the stage, on the floor, in the backstage area, there was even a camera mounted just above the percussion set and Kedree never even realized it was there all night! We are looking forward to going through it all and working on a DVD project for release this year.
Throughout 2008 we kept ourselves rather busy, and with 2009 a few days old now we are looking forward to spending the rest of this month working on Covert projects: new music to work on, new merchandise for 2009, a new CD we are in the stages of mixing, a new building we are in the process of renovating to call our home, and a few more Covert projects for later on in the year, So to have time for all this, plus some much needed time with our loving familys, we are taking a rest from our shows during January.
During this month we only have one scheduled show:
Saturday Jan 10th at Papa Petes in Kalamazoo.
For all of our west side family who didn't make it to our NYE show, we look forward to having a show all to ourselves. It will be just Covert and all of you for the night so make sure to mark your calendars and bring a friend, this night is gonna be intense.
As the year 2008 closed to an end we were reminded of all the events that brought us there, and each one of us would like to thank all of you for supporting Covert Operations in 2008. The continued love and support from all of our fans, friends, and family is what allows us to keep making music, performing shows and building the Covert family. Thank you all!
We hope to see you soon at a show. Until then.....
Love and Light......
