What a weekend........

We started Thursday out at Founders Brewery in Grand Rapids, MI. Founders has a great thing going with their brews, and we dig them all. A lot. We had Vinyl Soup from Tennessee up for two shows with us and they started this night strong and the crowd really grooved along with them from beginning to the end. A big thanks go out to Adam, Holly and Linden for providing a roof over all of our heads. You guys are the best.
Friday we rolled into Papa Petes around 5pm after spending some time at the Frisbee Golf course in Kalamazoo. On the bill for this night was Green Chi, Vinyl Soup and Covert. Papa Petes crowds are always great and the Owner said this night we stretched capacity. Because Green Chi did a great job warming the night up, and Vinyl Soup turned up the heat to get things real hot in the room, Covert was able to definitely bring things to a boil. What a great night of music for all of us. Do not miss a Covert show at Papa Petes, this room has played host to many, many incredible nights. After load out we made a few stops to visit local friends and then hit the road for Ohio.
Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville OH is such a great place. We were there for the Sublime Weekend Festival and it was our first time performing at the park. Arriving around 1pm we quickly found friends and settled in. Our set was a brisk 45 minute one but packed with great energy. Setlist: Crashing, Catch22, Hydroplane, Oppportunity Missed. The Breakfast's guitarist Tim Palmieri walked up on stage during the middle of Hydroplane with guitar in hand and plugged into one of Dallas' amps. Wish this one had been recorded because Hydro and Opportunity were SMOKING. Dallas, Kedree and Tim served up tasty treats, and the tradeoff jams between Derek and Tim during Opportunity were incredible. "ya ready to go to church?" The answer was "Yes!". Nelson Ledges is absolutely beautiful and we want to thank Evan for inviting us out to play. What a great experience. Thank You.
Driving back early Sunday morning was a treat with the sun coming up from behind us and the nights dew and fog lingering around each corner we made. We had a wonderful three days of music, fun and family. Thank you to all that made this happen. We love all of you.
